Francis Chan is a senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, CA. I never heard of him before, but today was on my friends' blog and saw the video of Francis Chan speaking about lukewarm Christianity. It was very much convicting. He also wrote a great book called "Crazy Love". Here is the video...

New Pictures
I posted some new pictures in my gallery. Picture of me and Tommy. Tommy is the son of DongSheng and MayMay. DongSheng and MayMay are my chinese friends who I met this semester and trying to develop friendship with. They are very nice people. Tommy is very handsome boy!
Last week I went to Hampton, GA. Suburb of Atlanta. Myself and Gabe Miller spent some time with his family. We ate more then any christian person ought to eat. It was great. Felt like home. Uploaded some new things on flickr, you can see it on the pictures page. His grandma is very energetic and crazy. Thankful for my far away family.

Pathetic Web Support...
Title "Pathetic Web Support" was not given because of my hosting company giving me a poor costumer support, but it is because myself had the website down for a week. Past week i was doing some updates for my content management system, and i am using new soft for my FTP acces since i got a Mac. So i have merged and deleted some files, that it took me couple days to humbly admit, that i need to call and get backup to restore the whole website, instead of fixing it by hand. It is pathetic that, thinking that i know my website like the back of my hand, i still have a hard time to supporting it. And i dare to do something for others even... But God is keeping it going by his grace. "All things consist by Him", even my website.

Must Read: Worldliness
The "must read" book is Worldliness. It is writted by 6 different authors concerning variety of aspects of the practices and disciplines of Christian living. Authors are C.J. Mahaney, Craig Cabaniss, Bob Kauflin, Dave Harvey, and Jeff Purswell.
Key verse of the book is I John 2:15 "love not the world..." The book covers topics like media, music, "stuff", clothes and on how to love the world.
As I understand the main goal of the book is to explain, cultivate, promote practical holy life without legalising (if this is the word) our standarts, but giving it a deep biblical foundation and discernment.
Today there are usually two kinds of people. First, people who have standards with no foundation, just "no pants", "no movietheaters", "no CCM" etc. Secon, people who do not even bother to think of seperation and particularity of the Christian life.

Today i was cleaning up my computer and saw the very original design for my website that i did before the current one. I don't know if i was in dipression or something but the design was very gothic looking with a lot of black and funny stuff like that.

If God is so good, why so many bad things happen?
This is very popular question among atheistically-minded people. If Bible says that God is love and God is good continually. How in the world there is about 300 million kids who starve to death every year. And then there is 9/11 and Tsunami.
The question is asked from the humanistic point of view. If you want to ask the question correctly, you need to ask yourself "why God, knowing all my wicked thoughts and intensions and all my sins from yesterday, did not kill me in my sleep last night?" This is the correct kind of question. God is good not because He does good things, God is good because He is the ultimate standard of goodness. Everything he does is good because it comes out of him and not because it meets our standard of goodness. Breath in and breath out - this is the reminder of God's love to you.

Good Illustration!
It's not uncommon for an accomplished musician to be able to sit down in front of a new piece of music and play it through without a hitch. To make it seem easy, as if it required no effort. Yet the "freedom" to play with such skill comes only after years of disciplined practice.
In the same way, the freedom to grow in godliness - to naturally express Christ's character through your own personality - is in large part dependent on a deliberate cultivation of the spiritual disciplines.
Like it or not section is updated with some new things. Evaluating myself to see what I like and what I don't like.

Watch the Video!
Past summer I had an oppartunity to travel all over western United States. It was amazing. Learned from pastors and church members and from partner things that i would never get in the classroom. We worked with 14 different pastors in 10 different states. God blessed us by letting us see 7 professions of faith. Over the summer we took as a slogon a verse from Zecharaih 4:6 saying "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts." You can see a little slideshow from the summer. I am back on air!
After about a year of silence I found some time to revive my website.
Now we are with new design and same good old features.
On the very first version of the website I had a page that was called "Like it or not", a lot of people read it. I decided to bring it back to life on this version. Hopefully it will be often updated.
About page is still underconstruction. Don't even go there.
